SDG3: Good Health and Wellbeing

Revolution is dedicated to the health and well-being of our staff and community. We have a hybrid working structure which allows us to maintain a healthy work-life balance. 

We often organise team building experiences where we plant trees in the local community with Green Spaces for Health in Cork, allowing time and space for team building experiences that are good for people and the planet. 

We help local charities with pro bono work as we did with Cork Cancer Care Centre. We have joined Pledge 1% to support Iris House Cork, a charity that supports people and families affected by cancer.

SDG7: Clean Energy

In Revolution, we mostly work from home, reducing the need to travel for business. We encourage mindful energy consumption practices among employees and provide opportunities to upskill. We have now collectively completed the SEAI General Energy Training to ensure a cohesive approach to energy efficiency across the board where each team member received a certificate of completion.

For our internal operations, we strive to use platforms and services that run on renewable energy and encourage our clients to do the same. We have run a staff carbon scoping survey to measure our impact and set reduction targets according to our GHG Protocol results from the year before.

SDG4: Quality Education

As we work in a fast developing industry, all of our staff are constantly training to stay up to speed. We encourage our employees to find online courses that they can do within their work hours and we cover the costs. We are looking into training that upskill professionals in sustainability within their roles, such as sustainable marketing and Ad Net Zero for designers. Revolution offers work placement to young specialists to help them develop in their careers.

Our services help other businesses to achieve their marketing goal in a sustainable and ethical manner.

We are dedicated to creating a transparent work environment that promotes training, development, work-life balance and an overall pleasant workplace with decent pay. Our co-created Employee Handbook ensures that mutual respect and staff rights are protected.

SDG5 / SDG10: Gender Equality & Reduced Inequalities

Our industry requires us to innovate and consistently improve our technologies, tools and solutions to optimise our service delivery while mitigating the environmental impact.

We use AI for digital marketing and development work as a sustainable approach to resource use. We create in-house tools to enhance everyday work and bring better results to our clients helping them to upgrade for sustainability.

SDG13: Climate Action

Revolution is mindful of its Carbon Footprint and has done the necessary scoping to start our journey to decarbonisation. We are assessing our digital stack for any inefficiencies and strive to work with online tools and platforms that run on 100% renewable energy to minimise our Digital Carbon Footprint that often goes unnoticed in the digital industry. 

In line with our commitment to consistent monitoring and improvement, we conduct the annual Staff Satisfaction and Staff Carbon Scoping surveys to measure results using the GHG Protocol and set new targets for the year ahead. 

We are committed to giving back to the planet and offsetting as much of our environmental footprint as we can. Working together with Green Spaces for Health, we have planted trees in the local community at St. Killian’s Primary School in 2023. In 2025 we have scaled up the Tree Planing Staff Volunteering in collaboration with Green Spaces for Health and Community Climate Action Funding from Cork City Council, supported by the Department of Environment, Climate and Communications. The event was open to participants from other organizations.

With the growing community of eco-conscious companies, Revolution is making plans to create a dedicated tree nursery, making it a place of collaboration, well-being and measurable environmental change in the urban environment.

SDG12: Responsible Consumption and Production

Revolution has a conscious and considered approach to resource use and waste management. We are a completely paperless company and prioritise purchasing sustainably sourced materials from companies with commitment to a healthy environment. 

According to our latest Staff Waste Management Survey, all of our employees are segregating their waste when working from home and we encourage our employees to refurbish their devices and dispose of electronics responsibly.

SDG17: Partnerships for the Goals

Revolution is striving to be an ethical business and empower other businesses that have sustainability commitments. We are conscious of working with organisations that align with our core values. We are looking forward to expanding our network of conscious businesses to drive the global revolution that benefits people and the planet.

Revolution Digital Marketing Agency has joined Pledge 1%, a global initiative encouraging companies to dedicate a portion of their resources to community-focused initiatives. By pledging 1% of company time, Revolution supports Iris House Cork, a charity supporting people and families affected by cancer.

We nurture our ongoing collaboration with Green Spaces for Cork, opening volunteer opportunities to other organisations to join us for tree-planting events.
